Abstrak

Relasi toksik (toxic relationship) merupakan fenomena relasional yang berdampak signifikan terhadap kesehatan psikologis dan spiritual individu, namun masih sering ditangani secara normatif dalam konteks konseling Kristen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara sistematis penerapan Motivational Interviewing (MI) dalam penanganan toxic relationship serta mengeksplorasi integrasinya dengan perspektif psikologi Kristen dan konseling pastoral. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi literatur naratif sistematis dengan menganalisis artikel ilmiah nasional dan internasional bereputasi yang terbit dalam lima tahun terakhir. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa MI efektif dalam meningkatkan kesiapan berubah, memperkuat self-efficacy, dan mengurangi resistensi klien yang mengalami ambivalensi dalam relasi toksik. Selain itu, prinsip-prinsip MI memiliki keselarasan dengan nilai-nilai teologis Kristen, khususnya penghormatan terhadap martabat manusia, otonomi personal, dan pemulihan identitas diri. Integrasi MI dalam konseling Kristen menawarkan pendekatan yang lebih empatik, trauma-informed, dan etis dibandingkan pendekatan pastoral yang bersifat moralistik. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pengembangan praktik konseling Kristen yang berbasis bukti melalui pelatihan MI bagi konselor pastoral serta penelitian empiris lanjutan dalam konteks gereja di Indonesia.
